SGF condoles with Power Minister over mother's death

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha has condoled with the Honourable Minister of State for Power, Prince Goddy Jedy-Agba, OFR, Dan Jarin Nupe over the death of his mother, Ma Gertrude Amokeye Jedy-Agba.

The SGF in a condolence letter said that the deceased was "a devoted Christian Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and a community leader with outstanding and amiable persona that led an exemplary life worthy of emulation and will be fondly remembered for her philanthropic contributions to humanity, moral forthrightness, selfless service to her family and enormous contribution to her community".

While praying God to comfort the Honourable Minister and the entire Jedy-Agba family, he prayed for the peaceful respose of her soul.

The late Ma Nurse as she was fondly called died few days ago after a brief illness and was aged 82 years.

The announcement of her death was contained in a statement personally signed by the Minister, Prince Jedy-Agba.

He advised in the statement that "in line with the federal government lockdown and directive on social distancing occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no physical condolence meeting", adding that alternative means like text message, calls, electronic mail and social media platforms should be used for condolences.

According to the statement, "funeral arrangements will be announced subsequently".
