Honourable Minister of State, Power, Goddy Jedy Agba, OFR, has sent an emotional message to Nigerians in the wake of the increasing security situation in the country.
Agba, who's the Minister representing Cross River State in the Federal Executive Council urged Cross Riverians as well as other Nigerians not to loose hope, insisting that the country will come out of the current situation even stronger.
He maintained that the darkest period at night is when it's about to dawn, thus, what's happening is strange but Nigerians should thank God that they have a President who have conquered several similar issues in the past and will lead them to victory now.
According to him, "the last two and half years have been very challenging for the entire globe, especially Nigeria. As we were trying to come out of the COVID-19 pandemic, came the dangerous and destructive #EndSARS protest. And now insecurity.
What we're facing as a people is just a phase. Thank God, we're blessed with a President who has seen it all. He has been confronted with situations worst than this but came out in flying colours. This won't be an exception".
The Minister added that "I know a lot of people are angry with the situation of things but I assure you all that we'll come out stronger as a country. Our strength is in our diversity.
I sympathize with the family of those who lost their lives owing to this insecurity especially, the Police officers who lost their lives during the attack on Police stations in Obubra, Cross River, my home state.
We've won so many battles as a country. We will win this too, together".
Agba appealed to Nigerians to "continue to preach peace and unity. This is not the time to apportion blames. We can't give up now. Let's stick together, preach love and pray for our leaders.
May this new month come with good tidings and great development that'll stabilize this country".
