Minister of State, Power, Goddy Jedy Agba, OFR has congratulated the Acting Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Transmission Company Of Nigeria, (TCN), Engr. Dr. Sule Ahmed Abdulaziz on his Honorary Doctorate Degree award by the European American University, Commonwealth of Dominica.
The Minister in a goodwill message presented to the TCN Boss during a visit to his office earlier today in Abuja, said that he has no doubt that the recognition will provide him with more impetus to work harder for the country's power sector.
According to him, "it is with great joy that I congratulate you on the occasion of the conferment on you, a Doctorate Degree (Honoris Causa) in Engineering and Project Management by the European American University of Dominica.
Your tireless contributions to the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI) over the years in different capacities and presently as Ag. Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Transmission Company Of Nigeria are evident. It is therefore gratifying that you have today been recognized and awarded distinguished honours by a world-class citadel of learning ".
He added that "I am assured that this recognition will provide more impetus for your zeal to transform TCN and by extension, the entire Nigerian electricity supply value chain to global competitiveness".
Responding, the TCN MD said that "I'm happy and pleased for this recognition and as you can see, the Minister takes it very seriously which is why he invited me here to his office to make this presentation. It means a lot to me".
While assuring that the award will spur him to do more for the country and beyond, he advised those in position of authority to always work selflessly and diligently for the advancement of the country.
"My message to other privileged Nigerians who are occupying public offices is to work hard, be diligent and committed to whatever responsibility they're undertaking because hard work pays", he said.
