Ex-UniCal VC, Prof. Akpagu Loses Mum, Announces Funeral Date
Ezinne Lady Theresa Agianye Akpagu, mother of the immediate past Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar (UniCal), Prof. Zana Akpagu is dead.
According to a statement jointly signed by Prof. Akpagu and his sister, Rosemary Ngozi Akpagu announcing her passing away, they said she died on Sunday May 26, 2024 at the age of 85.
The Akpagu family thanked friends, family and we'll wishers for their prayers and support during this difficult period.
Funeral services for Ezinne Akpagu have been announced, with a Farewell Mass scheduled for Friday, June 14th, at 8:am at St Patrick's Parish, Ikot Ansa, Calabar. A Christian Wake keep will follow at her residence, opposite Unical Microfinance Bank, along Ogoja Road, Bebuagbong Village, Ipong-Obudu.
On Saturday, June 15th, a Requiem Mass will be held at 10:am at St. Theresa the Little Flower Parish Ipong, followed by interment at her family compound and a reception at the same venue.
According to the release, a Thanksgiving Mass will be celebrated on Sunday, June 16th, at 7:am at St. Theresa the Little Flower Parish Ipong.
The Akpagu family invites friends, colleagues, and well-wishers to join them in celebrating and paying their last respect to their mother.
