UNICAL Constitutes Parks And Gardens Committee

UNICAL VC (, Prof. Zana Akpagu) With the Chairman of the Committee, Arc. James Obun

As part of his commitment to create green, clean, serene and conducive environment for learning, the Vice Chancellor, University of Calabar, Prof. Zana Akpagu has constituted Parks and Gardens Committee.

The comiittee, consisting of six members has the mandate of implementing the beautification programme of the current administration.


Headed by Arc. James Obun Ikpi as Chairman, its specific mandate is to replace old ornamental trees/flowers, rebuild and maintain roundabouts, parks and gardens, among other tasks.

The committee which was inauguratd in the Vice-Chancellor's Office today was charged to work relentlessly to deliver on its mandate.


In attendance during the inaiguration were all members of the Committee along with the University Registrar, Moses Abang, the Chairman, Board of Media and Community Relations, Dr Joseph Ekpang amongst others.
