Breaking : How Ayade's Aide Was Chased Out of Ranch By Angry Workers

Hon. Ability Akwaji, Special Adviser, Ranch Affairs to Cross River State Governor
Frustrated by the inability of the state government to pay their salaries and other entitlements, the Obudu Cattle Ranch Resort angry staff chased out Hon. Ability Akwaji, the Special Adviser to Governor Ben Ayade on Ranch Matters, yesterday morning.

A source familiar with the story said that the staff were angry over what they described as "government insensitivity to their plights" as it concerns their salaries.

According to reports, the workers who are owed several months backlog of salaries were recently paid just one month without explanation on when the remaining months will be paid.

Report said that they have vowed never to allow any government official access to the Ranch unless they are paid their complete emoluments.

"Hon Ability Akwaji, SA on Ranch Affairs to Governor Ayade survived attack by angry Ranch workers yesterday. He was so lucky because from what I heard, the people are very upset and ready to do anything to get the attention of the government. Basically, they were demanding the remaining balance of their salaries after they received just one month salary in over a year.

"As it is now, they have vowed never to allow anybody including the Governor access to the Ranch resort unless they are paid their complete entitlements. While I'll advice them not to take laws into their hands, I'll appeal to government to clear their backlog of salaries", the source who didn't want his name mentioned said.

At the time of filling in this report, the SA was inaccessible for his reaction.
