Gov. Ben Ayade |
Agba, in a statement to mark this year's democracy day commended the efforts of the Governor despite lean resources to improve the lives of Cross Riverians.
While noting that the Governor has been selfless in discharging his duties since assuming office, he lauded him for protecting democratic norms and values in the state in the past three years.
"I felicitate with our dynamic, indefatigable digital Governor, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade, and the people of Cross River on the occasion of 2018 Democracy day celebration as well as three years of His Excellency's selfless service to the very good people of cross River State.
Exactly three years ago today, His Excellency stood before our people who had gathered from across the State and committed himself to the opportunities of serving our people, the people of Cross River State. And inspite of the daunting challenges, tolled night and day to serve our people, to improve quality of lives of our people and to give back to humanity.
I commend His Excellency's efforts in protecting democratic norms and values of our people this past three years in office. Peace, unity and stability of the State as well as protection of lives and properties have become much more important than any democratic gain, and all these he has brought to our people".
Mr. K-Jay Jedy Agba |
I salute his efforts in decoupling the state economy from dependence on federal allocation, the giant strides at returning the State back to the path of industrialization and for building on the legacies of your predecessors and maintaining the state development trajectory thereby bringing smiles to the faces of Cross Riverians.
In keeping with His Excellency's pledge to put food on the table of Cross Riverians and ensuring that no Cross River child goes to bed hungry, he has created employment for our people with a single minded determination".
While pledging his support to the Ayade's administration, he said "I am particularly thankful to His Excellency for the privilege he afforded me to serve Cross Riverians under his administration.
In pledging my total unfettering support to this administration even as I charge all indigenes of the State and Nigerians alike residing in the State to rise up to the task of developing the State in line with the lofty dreams, vision and ideals of the Governor".
