He also urged the government of the two states to establish a robust relationship with the traditional institutions in the affected communities to ensure disputes are resolved early enough to avoid it degenerating to the level where lives and properties would be lost.

According to the statement,"I want to appeal for peace between Ukelle and Izzi communities. They should live in peace like brothers and sisters because our God almighty who designed them to share boundary didn't do that by mistake.

"I want call on the Governors of the two states to create a robust relationship with the people at the grassroots and traditional institutions to ensure that disputes that could metamorphose into this ugly scenes are easily resolved without unnecessary bloodshed.".

While we spend so much time talking about Farmers/Herders crisis happening in other states, hundred of our people and properties are lost on daily basis.

Today, the number of internally displaced people in Cross River is more than ever in the history of the state. We can't continue this way. Government need to do more by being proactive and not reactive to this mindless killings.
