2019 : Itam Abang gets Boki 1 constituency endorsement for second term

The member representing Boki 1 constituency in the Cross River State House of Assembly, Dr. Virginia Itam Abang has been endorsed by her constituency for a second term.

The endorsement was done recently during a political rally in Abo Ogbagante community, Boki local government area of the state.

Traditional rulers, elders Chiefs, prominent youth and opinion leaders took turn to speak of their commitment to her second term aspiration in 2019.

All the 25 statutory delegates at the ward and the six at chapter levels of her party, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) unanimously threw their weight behind the lawmaker.

Speaking, Chairman of all Ward chairmen in her constituency, Mr. Reuben Takim, commended the legislator for her "sterling representation".

While describing her as a straight forward politician, he pledged the unalloyed support of the Ward Chairmen forum to  her second term bid.

Also speaking, the Chapter Vice Chairman of PDP in Boki, Mr. Dennis Ojua, said Abang remain a genuine choice for 2019 even as he urged the people of Boki 1 to align with her continuity agenda

In their different remarks, Chiefs and Elders advised her to work closely with the State Governor, Sen. Ben Ayade to facilitate more projects to the constituency.

On her part, the lawmaker thanked them for  the support adding that her success in the assembly was a manifestation of her good relationship and respect with the people as well as the Governor.

She said that "God brought me into office at a time when a God sent digital Governor, Prof. Sen. Ben Ayade is on the throne. I want to once again encourage you to continue to the support Governor's second term bid so that we can collectively move the state forward".
