The Minister added that her dedication to duty especially her strong advocacy for girl-child education and respect for women were virtues that she'll forever be remembered for.

"Senator Rose Oko, a sister and friend who was representating my own senatorial district was an embodiment of many things. Her demise  is an incurable loss to the state and Nigeria at large. Amongst other things, her strong advocacy for girl-child education will be greatly missed even as it'll be a virtue she'll be remembered for forever".

He urged other leaders to always see opportunity to serve as a privilege by giving their all as no one knows when the wicked hand of death will strike.

While praying God to bless the soul of the departed senator, he extended his condolences to his family, his colleagues in the National Assembly, as well as the entire northern senatorial district.
