BREAKING: Reps Akpanke Offers 16-Yr-Old C'River Highest JAMB Scorer Scholarship

The Member Representing Obanliku/Obudu/Bekwerra Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Reps Peter Akpanke, has awarded a scholarship to Stephen Apebende, the 16-year-old boy who achieved an impressive score of 356 in this year's JAMB, the highest from Cross River State.

Akpanke, who expressed pride in Stephen's achievement, said he was inspired to offer the scholarship to encourage other young people to take their studies seriously.

He praised Stephen for his dedication to his studies, particularly in an era where many young people are focused on getting rich quick.

"This young boy's achievement is remarkable, and he deserves all the support he can get. As my constituent, I'm proud to offer him a scholarship for his undergraduate studies, and I hope this will inspire others to follow in his footsteps," Akpanke said.

The lawmaker also called on the Cross River State Government to recognize Stephen's achievement and offer him the necessary support to pursue his academic dreams.

While calling on other young people in his constituency and across the state to take whatever they're doing seriously, he said that "as his Reps, I'm very proud that this young boy has shown intellect and spirit of resistance the OBO people are known for. Today he's discussed across the state because he kept his head down to study. I encourage other young people to take whatever their hands find doing seriously. There's no shortcut to success. Once again, congratulations to Stephen".
