Briana Akpagu : Nourishing Hope for Street Children

In a world where millions of children go to bed with empty stomachs, Briana Akpagu's "Feed A Hungry Child with Briana Foundation", is shining a beacon of hope. This remarkable organization, founded by Briana Akpagu, a young lawyer and child rights advocate in 2021, is dedicated to providing sustenance and support to street children, empowering them to break the cycle of poverty and build a brighter future.

Through tireless efforts, Briana and her team have been transforming lives, one meal at a time. The foundation's initiatives focus on identifying vulnerable street children, providing them with nutritious meals, and offering educational and skill-building opportunities. This holistic approach enables these young individuals to regain their dignity, build self-esteem, and develop the skills necessary to succeed.

Briana's passion for helping the less fortunate stems from her motivation to recognise privilege and the need to share love in our community, especially to children. She realises that hunger is not only a physical pain but also an emotional scar, affecting a child's mental and emotional wellbeing. This understanding is fueling her determination to make a difference.

The "Feed A Hungry Child with Briana" foundation's impact is palpable. Since its inception, the organization has provided over 300 meals to street children, supported many with educational resources and has been a leading voice for child rights and welfare.

While her target in the next five years is to drastically reduce the number of children affected by food insecurity, malnutrition and social injustice across Africa, she's working towards actualizing her ambitious objective of establishing community kitchens across the three senatorial districts of Cross River State to offer a safe space for children to eat and learn in the long run.

Briana's selflessness and dedication have inspired a community of volunteers, donation from individuals and organisations, and supporters. Her foundation's work serves as a testament to the power of compassion and the human spirit.

As we acknowledge Miss Akpagu's remarkable contributions, we are reminded that even small actions can have a profound impact. Let us join hands with Briana as she plans to hold a *Child Rights Awareness Campaign in Calabar on the 27th May, 2024*. The objective of this highly anticipated event is to educate children on their rights as Nigerian Citizens.

Donations from individuals, organisations and government are solicited to sustain Briana's great efforts to nourish hope and create a world where no child goes hungry. Together, we can support her to continue to make a difference with her *every drop counts* campaign.
